The Department of Labor and
Employment  has launched a
public education program to
protect overseas Filipino
workers from unscrupulous
practices and curb illegal
recruitment.

Labor Secretary Arturo Brion
said the program, dubbed as
the Integrated Public
Education Program  was
launches by the  Overseas
Overseas workers have a new weapon against abuse.

Employment Administration this week.

POEA administrator Rosalinda Baldoz said the program integrates the
pre-employment and pre-departure orientation seminars for OFWs and the
education program for licensed recruitment agencies.

Baldoz said the program aims to educate  the public about  OFW protection by
providing a platform for discussion of laws and regulations on overseas
employment
